When student choose to earn their master’s degree online at Georgetown University, they learn from the same distinguished professors, earn the same diploma, and gain access to the same opportunities as on-campus students.
Program examines the full scope of functions across a wide variety of higher education institutions.
Students will focus on not only the central role of operations but also the related responsibilities within key areas such as academic advising, admissions, and alumni relations. Students will also have the opportunity to further hone skills in one of two optional focus areas—student affairs or administration—or develop a customized curriculum.

The course of study for most online programs can be completed in two years; however, students may take up to five years to finish or choose an accelerated schedule to earn their degree faster. Online courses are 7.5-week modules during the spring, summer, and fall terms.
There are no required on-campus residencies, but all online students are welcome to visit campus for events of interest, including networking events and career fairs.
This two-year program consists of 33 credit hours.

Students in the School of Continuing Studies may be eligible for federal financial aid.
To determine eligibility for financial aid, students must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Students should also complete and submit the SCS Supplemental Form for Financial Aid in addition to the FAFSA.
